  5. (Optional) To view a summary you generated earlier, at the bottom, click Previous Summaries and select it.

Note

You can't edit the transcript in this view. To edit or resume a session, open Halaxy AI Scribe from the clinical note.

Refine a summary with Ask AI

You can ask AI to rewrite a summary to suit how you write your notes, for example making it shorter, more detailed or formatted differently. The new summary is based only on the transcript and the current summary, so no new clinical details are added. Refining a summary does not use any credits.

Important

You need edit access to the clinical note to refine its summary.

  1. On the patient's Clinical Notes page, in the left menu, click the transcription.

  2. Click the Summary Note tab.

  3. In the summary header, click Refine.

    AI-Scribe-11.png
  4. Choose how you want to refine the summary:

    • Click Elaborate to make the summary longer and more detailed.

    • Click Shorten to make the summary more concise.

    • In the text box, type your own request (e.g. "Use bullet points for the assessment"), then click the paper plane icon.

    AI-Scribe-12.png
  5. Review the refined summary. Once the summary has been updated, a confirmation appears with a Show previous summary link.

    AI-Scribe-13.png
  6. When you're happy with the summary, click Save to Note to transfer it to your clinical note.

Note

A refined summary is not added to your clinical note until you click Save to Note. To go back to the version before, click Show previous summary. Every refined version is also kept in Previous Summaries.

Tip

You can also ask questions about the consult, such as "What medications came up in the conversation?" Below the summary, click Ask AI about this note to open the chat. Asking a question does not change your summary.

Delete a transcription

You can delete a finished transcription that you no longer need.

Warning

Deleting a transcription also removes any summaries created from it.

  1. On the patient's Clinical Notes page, in the left menu, click the transcription.

  2. On the top right, click Delete transcript.

    AI-Scribe-15.png
  3. In the pop-up, click Delete to confirm.

The transcription stays in the left menu with a bin icon, and its status changes to Deleted. When you open it, you can see who deleted it and when.

Note

You can also delete a transcription in Halaxy AI Scribe. At the bottom of the widget, click Delete.
